Who am I?

My name is Hollie Lawson and I have a passion to support our future generations to flourish.

After a 10-year career in Social Work where I worked with children, young people and families, I qualified with a Diploma in Transformational Life Coaching. From my experience, I believe there is a gap in the support available for the children, adolescents and young adults, that focuses on coaching, mentoring and empowering in a safe, non judgemental space and confidential space. With the mental health pandemic that our young generation are experiencing, coaching can be the bridge that some children, adolescents and young adults need to provide them with an extra level of protection, alongside building confidence, a thriving mindset, emotional intelligence, to live them feeling empowered, mentally strong and connected.

As a child and adolescent, I personally struggled with low self esteem, little confidence and anxiety, and I believe if I had had this support, it would have made a world of difference, giving me a stronger foundation in life. My experience provides me with the empathy and motivation that I need to strive to coach, support, empower and mentor as many of our next generation as possible.

I am a Mum of 2, to Theodore, and Milo, and when I get free time I enjoy spending time in my garden, being creative, listening to audio books or podcasts, and taking walks down my local beach in St Andrews.

Along with the extensive list of qualifications that I have listed below, I am fully PVG checked and have up-to-date Child Protection training. I am also a Mental Health Ambassador through Place2Be - the leading mental health charity for children and a volunteer youth coach for the organisation ‘Yes Futures’ who work within schools.

What is it like to work with me…

  • 'Hollie helped me to go through my week, and showed me coping strategies which I could use discreetly at school. She was easy and comforting to speak too. My school day is a lot calmer now as I understand my thoughts and feelings, and know how to manage them in a healthy way.'

    14 year old.

  • 'Hollie ran the sessions in a pleasant and professional fashion. I wasn't sure what to expect, but her coaching abilities and techiques quickly enabled me to unravel, clarify and prioritise personal challenges. I believe most people would greatly benefit from similar sessions with her.'

    Young adult

  • 'Talking with Hollie was an immeasurable help for both my mental health and in creating building blocks through goal setting, exploring my needs and wants and visualising a future out-with the grief I had been in the midst of. Hollie’s approachability, patience and emotional intuition helped guide me to the path that I truly wanted for myself, which was so important as I had been focussing on self sabotage and feeling unable to move out of such a hard moment and place in time. On reflection, simply by holding space and asking questions I’d find to hard to ask myself I could see a much brighter future than I had even before the traumatic times that led me to talk with her. I can’t thank you enough Hollie, i’m very grateful to have received your care and guidance through your coaching.'

    Young adult.

  • 'Hollie's gentle, non-judgemental and calm approach enabled my daugher to really engage in the coaching sessions. Within a few weeks we saw such a transformation in our daughters confidence and belief in herself.'

    Mum of 15 year old

  • Thank you Hollie. We have our son back. From a boy that didn't want to go to school, he is now consistently back in the classroom learning.'

    Mum of 10 year old

  • 'My daughter was really struggling with her negative talk, which was impacting on how she was feeling. Hollie made my daughter feel at ease to open up and talk. This really helped.'
